Program Development

RTC designs and develops chemical dependency treatment programs that guide both clients and clinicians from intake and intervention to a successful discharge and integration into aftercare. These programs can be constructed for new organizations, or we can suggest changes and improvements to an existing program, which can be integrated with minimal disruptions to the existing census and clinical and support staffs. Additionally, we can optimize curricula for various age groups—adolescents, young-adults, or adults—and for all levels of care.

Program Visualization and Rebuilding: RTC guides currently existing substance use disorder treatment programs in the process of reimagining and redeveloping effective treatment models. This process involves not just an examination of currently used collateral and processes, we conduct informal interviews with clinical and support staff and, where feasible, real-time discussions with current clients. This practice allows RTC to advise your organization on which modules and interventions are traditionally effective as well as on those which your staff—and clients—find most helpful and appropriate.

Family Education and Involvement: Addiction is often described as a “family disease.” There are two main reasons for this description: first, the role genetic predisposition plays in the development of one’s addiction is well-known; and secondly, even if only one member of the family suffers from addiction, the entire family is impacted. Therefore, we at RTC believe it is not enough to treat only the client. The family needs to recover.

For the family, we help design treatment programs that begin with compassionate validation of their experience. Counselors are then able to encourage them to discuss their pains, fears, frustrations, hopes, and expectations. This process often helps them to contextualize their feelings and to communicate appropriate expectations through education on the causes, symptoms, and course of Substance Use Disorders (SUD).

Finally, we stress the integration of the family’s recovery with that of their loved one. As part of this, the family and the client can each have opportunities to share their experiences, allowing everyone to feel heard and to better understand a side of addiction they’ve not lived. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, helping the family become part of the client’s recovery creates a dynamic that enables them to be both a source of support and accountability without stepping into co-dependent or enabling territory. The family can see where recovery can take them, and they are able to move in that direction as an active participant rather than a bystander.

Certification and Licensing: RTC provides Policy and Procedure content to assist your organization or practice in obtaining State licensing and associated certification. Additionally, we can offer support to streamline and systematize the work of renewing licenses and/or certifications. Lastly, as this can be a confusing and stressful endeavor, we can arrange to be on-site to facilitate real-time coaching and guidance throughout either of these processes.

Staff Development

Staff Education and Training: RTC offers training to clinical and support/ technical staff at your facility in the implementation and management of a comprehensive SUD program. We also provide group and one-on-one coaching sessions before, during, and after initial launch.

Insurance Paneling and Authorizations: RTC trains administrative and clinical staff to apply for paneling as authorized providers with health insurance entities. The training also includes instructing clinical staff on the process of obtaining pre-certifications and making sure clients experience effective and appropriate time in treatment by providing comprehensive reports for concurrent utilization reviews.

Billing and Reimbursement: RTC trains administrative staff in billing and receiving timely reimbursement from insurance entities. RTC call also help train staff to accommodate private party billing methods.
